At Maison Sûre Foundation, many of the dogs who come into our care need more than just a home, they need
medical intervention, healing, and a second chance at life!
Our success stories are built on the cases others might turn away: the surgeries, the long recoveries, the critical care, and the unwavering commitment to see each dog through. These are the moments where compassion meets action, where a diagnosis turns into a plan, and a fragile life turns into a thriving one.
This page is dedicated to the dogs who fought through it all and came out the other side, stronger, healthier, and finally home. From complex medical cases to long-term rehabilitation, each story is a testament to what’s possible when a community comes together to say, “you’re worth saving.”

Etoile
Etoile came to Maison Sûre Foundation in early May after being rescued from the shelter. She arrived severely underweight, anemic, exhausted, and carrying a massive ulcerated mammary tumor. We didn’t know if we were bringing her home to help her recover or simply to make sure her final days were surrounded by love.
Etoile spent several weeks at CARES receiving blood transfusions, IV antibiotics, pain management, and intensive care. Once strong enough, she underwent surgery to remove the tumor and was spayed. Sadly, her biopsy confirmed that the cancer had already spread, and more recently, we learned it has progressed to her lungs.
But Etoile has never let cancer define her.
Today, she is living her best life in a loving fospice home. She enjoys leisurely walks, pup cups, cozy beds, sunshine, and being surrounded by people who absolutely adore her. She finally knows the comfort and security of a home of her own.
We know our time with Etoile is limited, but hospice isn’t about giving up—it’s about making every day count. Our promise is that however much time she has, it will be filled with comfort, dignity, adventures, and unconditional love.
Etoile is a beautiful reminder that every life, no matter how long, is worth saving, celebrating, and loving.
